Meet Marcus - Hardly Home Captain and International Educator

As Hardly Home Captain, Marcus King aka @mrhardlyhome handles all aspects of the Hardly Home travel brand often from hand printing and sewing your items to packaging and shipping them off. For Marcus Hardly Home serves as a creative outlet, side business and way to give back doing what he loves.

As a travel professional Marcus currently coordinates a Title III grant for Internationalizing Prairie View A&M University, a Historically Black College & University (HBCU) near his hometown Houston, TX. There he helps to manage the study abroad office which sends more than 100 students abroad a year and has sponsored more than 750 passports for its students since 2017.

Marcus is an active member of the worlds largest association for international education, NAFSA and has been presenter at recent regional and national conferences including Diversity Abroad & IES Abroad.

In 2019 Marcus’ travel highlights included Australia, China, South Africa & Jamaica while in 2020 his top travel destinations are Ghana, London, Thailand & Columbia.
